Finance records, Bank Capture processing and receipt scanning
stay on your iPhone. Purchase and announcement services use limited technical data, explained below.
Last updated: 25 October 2026
Finnit ("the app") is made by Danish Haiqal. This policy explains what information Finnit uses, what stays on your device, and the limited information processed by services that support purchases and notifications.
Your accounts, transactions, receipts, budgets, goals, trips and other finance records are stored locally on your iPhone. We do not operate servers that receive these records, and we cannot see them. Finnit does not send your finance records to RevenueCat or OneSignal.
Bank Capture uses a Shortcuts automation to pass selected bank notification text to Finnit for processing on your device. Automatically logged entries appear in To review. You can disable the automation in Shortcuts at any time.
Receipt photos and screenshots are read on your device using Apple's on-device text recognition. Finnit does not upload these images for scanning. You choose whether to keep an image with its transaction.
Finnit Pro purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage Pro access. RevenueCat processes a randomly generated app user ID, purchase and subscription information, and limited technical information about the app and device needed to provide its service. Finnit does not send your name, email address or finance records to RevenueCat.
The Finnit ID shown in Enjoying Finnit? is this same anonymous app user ID. If you choose to send it to us, for example to claim a community giveaway, we use it to identify your app installation and activate the Pro access you requested. It does not give us access to your finance records.
Read RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Your personal reminders are scheduled locally on your device. With your permission, Finnit can also send occasional announcements, such as new features and app updates, through OneSignal and Apple's push notification service.
OneSignal processes a device push token, generated user and subscription identifiers, notification permission status, and technical details such as device model, iOS and app version, language and time zone. Its SDK can also process app session and usage information, notification interactions such as opens, and an IP address that may be used to determine an approximate country. Finnit does not send your name, email address, finance records, receipt images or bank notification text to OneSignal.
You can turn notifications off at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → Finnit. This stops notification delivery; it does not by itself delete information already held by OneSignal.
Read OneSignal's privacy policy.
Camera: used to scan receipts when you choose this feature.
Face ID: used to unlock Finnit if you enable the app lock. Authentication is handled by iOS; Finnit does not receive your facial biometric data.
Notifications: used for reminders you enable and the announcements described above.
Finnit does not track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising and shows no advertising. The limited purchase, device, usage and notification information described above is used to provide those services.
You can export your finance records in Settings → Export my data, or remove them in Settings → Delete all data. Deleting the app removes its locally stored data from your device. Exported files and any copies in device backups are separate and must be managed through the storage or backup service you use.
Local deletion does not automatically delete purchase records held by Apple or RevenueCat, or notification records held by OneSignal. These providers retain information under their own policies and applicable requirements. Contact us if you have questions or a request about information processed for Finnit; you do not need to send your finance records.
Finnit is not directed at children under 13.
For privacy questions or requests, email haiqalsw@gmail.com. If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address and message, and use it to respond to your request.
